January 18, 1996 Dear Leon: I hope you received my letter re: Lori Brensen. I just found out there also was an article in Time Magazine, so she is getting lots of publicity but I decided to send you the letter anyway along with a letter to her mother. I gave her your phone number and sent a letter to Fugimori in Peru. The reason I am writing this letter is re: Czechen rebels taking hostages. I was going to telephone you to give you my message in order to resolve the crisis, the very first day and decided not to even though I could see the outcome. There is a reason for everything. This one at the expenses once again of innocent people trapped by poor leadership once again. The message of this situation that needs to seriously be looked into is can Yeltzin lead, it is up to the Russian people. As far as the U.S.A. which now can clearly be seen also be the case. We all now also have to deal with its potential position of nuclear catastrophe in many way is from this country. And corruption in that country is intense. Together these problems are and will affect the world at large. a) first problem Russia and Czechen what has to happen there is a mutual agreement between the leaders that are divided at this time. Most preferably the Czechen people must have their independence. And a joint venture regarding oil rights etc. can be made between state and country as it exists but Czechen must become and independent country. b) The United Nations must take a firm position to control all nuclear energy of all countries on this planet and a super tight security plan must manifest generosity before it is too late c) Stopping the corruption is a must and the Russian government selling nuclear energy is an extremely negative action and will continue to attempt to drain U.S.A. for $$$ to stop them. The only answer is Bill Clinton needs to get much more involved with their leadership and guide them into the light. Re: FARC, to get back to Berenson she has discovered and put a light on the politics in general in South America which will need tremendous attention as well. Japan needs to take a much more active part in these problems I mention. Leon, I really wish I didn't have to write regarding so many problems that face all people of all nations but I do for now.
